ALPHARETTA, GA, UNITED STATES, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — U.S. Orthopaedic Partners, an orthopedic care group operating ten clinics and surgery centers across the southeastern United States, has moved all of its locations onto a single video security system. The group deployed technology from Coram AI, a Sunnyvale-based AI physical security company, and kept most of the cameras already installed at its sites.
The organization grew by bringing existing orthopedic practices into its network, and each arrived with whatever security it happened to have. Some sites ran systems that were years out of date. Others had no cameras at all.
“Some locations had dated systems… others had nothing. We needed one solution that worked everywhere,” said Randy White, Senior Vice President of IT and Security at U.S. Orthopaedic Partners.
That mismatch created a practical problem. When an HR investigation or an operational question required footage, the answer depended on which location was involved and what had been installed there. White wanted one place to look, and a system his teams could use without training.
“It needs to be simple to find what we need and keep the staff secured,” he said.
Cost and support mattered as much as the technology, because the group was still adding practices. “Service quality and pricing… when you’re in growth mode, that’s what you look for,” White said.
White had expected the standardization to mean buying new hardware for most of the network. It did not.
“They showed up and we did a walkthrough… I was thinking I was going to have to replace a lot of equipment and that simply was not the case,” he said.
The group now runs video security across all ten practices from one system. Staff in HR and operations can retrieve the footage they need themselves, which has cut the time the IT team spends helping other departments find evidence. U.S. Orthopaedic Partners is extending the same system to access control at one existing location and at a new ambulatory surgery center.
